Care & Maintenance: Keep Your Toys in Perfect Condition
Published: July 2026
Proper care extends the life of your toys and keeps them safe and hygienic. Here's everything you need to know.
Cleaning Basics
Before First Use: Wash with warm water and mild soap, or use a toy cleaner.
After Each Use: Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a clean cloth.
Deep Clean: Use a toy cleaner or wash with warm water and mild soap. For silicone, you can also boil for 3-5 minutes (check product instructions first).
Storage Tips
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Keep away from extreme heat or cold
- Use a toy bag or pouch to protect from dust
- Store separately from other toys to prevent material degradation
- Keep away from sharp objects that could puncture or scratch
Material-Specific Care
Silicone: Avoid contact with silicone-based lubricants (use water-based instead). Store away from other silicone items.
Glass: Handle with care to avoid drops. Inspect regularly for chips or cracks.
Stainless Steel: Wipe dry after cleaning to prevent water spots. Can be sanitized with boiling water.
Lubricant Tips
Always use a water-based lubricant with silicone toys. Silicone-based lubes can degrade silicone over time. For glass and stainless steel, any quality lubricant works.
When to Replace
If you notice cracks, tears, discoloration, or a persistent odor that won't wash away, it's time to replace your toy. Your health and safety come first.
